How It Works

The Can Cannon® operates via a proprietary gas tube, with a blocking bar. The proprietary tube diverts the high-pressure gas vertically into a larger tube. The volume of the larger tube reduces the high-pressure gas, preventing it from destroying relatively delicate projectiles like a soda can. When fired at an optimum angle (approximately 45 degrees) a soda can reach an average distance of 105 yards! The Can Cannon® by X Products is designed to use military blanks. The Can Cannon Launcher is an innovative device designed to launch cans, balls, and other projectiles with good precision and force. If that sounds fun to you, it is!

The Can Cannon utilizes the gas from a M200 .556 blank to propel soda cans from its sleeve. Simply load the can or accessory into the launcher, chamber a blank cartridge, and pull the trigger to send the can flying. Best soda can launcher ever!

Safety is a priority with the Can Cannon whether you are using it as a beer can launcher, soda can launder, or using any other accessories. It is designed with multiple safety features, including a pinned chamber to remove the possibility of using a live round. The chamber is also engineered to mitigate overpressure events, but it’s crucial to follow the guidelines and use it responsibly to ensure safe operation. (and of course NEVER aim it at anyone)

Safety

Manufactured with Safety and Precision, the Can Cannon® tube is formed using an impact extrusion. The precision process creates a near perfect concentric 2.62 inch monolithic tube with a +- tolerance of .003 thousandths, providing a perfect gas fit around projectiles, minimizing gas leaks while maximizing shooting performance and safety. Impact extrusion parts are dense, porous-free, and stronger than other metal-forming techniques. Resulting in highly uniform metal grain alignment that produces superior quality and durability. The impact process naturally hardens non-heat-treatable alloys. There are no fire cracks, pores, or parting lines to weaken the part.

Many customers are 3D printing projectiles themselves, making the impossible possible. Our BATFE approved design is not considered a Destructive Device, and does not change the designation. Each unit is sold as an assembled upper with receiver, headspaced, mounted ported barrel, and pressure tube. The system is compatible with all standard charging handles, and bolt carriers. Protected by our no-hassle lifetime warranty, if there is a problem we will replace, repair or refund.
